This was a much anticipated finale to a superb comic book. I started buying it some time ago from a recommendation and have been really impressed with the series. I have now collected all 10 of the graphic novels.

I ordered it way back in June on the pre-order system and saved a couple of quid because of it. However it was delivered way way past the actual release date and i have been sent a copy which has 20 pages printed upside down!

When reading a long graphic novel series you have to usually remember that for the most part they get better as they go along. The first volume will lay the groundwork and this will often lead many to say that a comic is boring.

I was a bit critical of Vol 1 but vol 2 is much much better. The foundations are all laid down and this is just a real page turner. Yorick is much more likeable in this vol. The interplay between Yorick and his sister is pretty interesting and I am excited to see how this turns out. When you finish this I was desperate to read Vol 3. The art is ok, nothing spectacular but serves its purpose.

Marvel masterpiece that streches outside of the boundaries of Marvel. I reccomend at LEAST buying the first 3 books of this sereis, you will be hooked. The dialogue is clever, the characters are sassy in their own way--think Buffyverse meets Marvelverse and then a whole new something bringing them both crashing down. In a good way. Buy these books!

Y: The Last Man Vol. 5 - Ring of Truth

This is the best book of the Y The Last Man series yet. The first 4 have been excellent, but this tops them all. It ties up loose ends (why has Yorrick survived the plauge? Who was that ninja he saw in volume 3?) and then leaves you with some new questions, such as: Can Hero be trusted? Can we believe Agent 355? If you've been a half hearted follower so far, this will make you a full on fan.

Anyone who says comics are for kids should read this and realise that they are wrong.
