There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly (Classic Board Books with Holes) Best Selling > Books > Nursery Rhymes by: Pam Adams 2000-09 My toddler realy enjoys singing along, but I'm not sure he gets the significance of 'perhaps she'll die' - it's great fun, but it is irritating that each page shows both the new animal being introduced and the next one along - so that when I'm singing about the dog, the lad is shouting 'cow, daddy, look, cow'. But excellent for all that. |

Old Macdonald Had a Farm (Classic Books with Holes) Best Selling > Books > Nursery Rhymes from: Child's Play (International) Ltd 2000-09 I bought this on a whim when purchasing another item for my daughter's birthday and I must admit that it is a pretty wee book which I know she will enjoy, however it is expensive for what it is. My advice is that you can get similar for cheaper from a supermarket if you can get to one or go to a library. Not the best, but by no means the worst! |

Lucy Cousins' Big Book of Nursery Rhymes Best Selling > Books > Nursery Rhymes by: Lucy Cousins September 18, 1998 Lovely bright coloured book with favorite nursery rhymes for all ages! The pages are made of quailty material, and the illustrations, although simple, and bright and eye catching. My son is now familiar with many nursery rhymes and loves this book, he has his own favorites! A nice addition I thought with his book was that there are some 2nd verses to rhymes I didn't know had 2nd verses, such as 'Old Mother Hubbard'. I have no hesitation in recommending this book for ages 18 months plus or so! |

I never understood what a knick-knack was as a child and am non-the-wiser now. However I always loved this catchy rhyme. I bought the book to enhance the singing of the rhyme to my first toddler. The book is pleasant enough, but I don't feel that the illustrations marry up to the rhyme particularly well.
