My 15 month old boy loves this book and never tires of opening the flaps.. The only slight issue I have is that it contains a lot of 'no's' in it. That is how the book runs of course as he's looking for spot in the cupboard, under the bed etc saying 'is he under the bed?' and some animal will be under the flap saying 'no'. Of course that's the way of the book, but i'm just conscious of it being in the negative state throughout for some reason, and affirming 'no' every time my boy lifts a flap.

The name of this review speaks for itself. I got Stormbreaker for my birthday and delayed reading it but when I did I loved it. Best book i'd read in ages. So what do you know I ordered the rest of the series of Amazon as including this book they were as I said SENSATIONAL!!

A moving story about a boy who's been evacuated and misses his Mum. The book was really helpful for people studying WWII. It has excellent pictures for young children, that are very detailed and have a magical feel. It shows how evacuees felt in the WWII.

Its a favourite with young children and older children will really relate to it. I think it would be good for people/teachers who want to talk about bullying and many other different issues.

after hearing all the hype over this book and the fact they made it a movie, i decided to give it a try...

i have now read all the alex rider books and this seems to be the worst of them all

i think the gadgets ruined it...but maybe that is just me

It is worth reading only to keep up with the story when reading the series.
The plot is thin and the new characters andespecially the main villian sargeant guy are just annoying.
Good series, just a bad book.

Another great Alex Rider advneture.Its as good as Fledgling Jason Steed, better than the young James Bond books.
Anthony has now really got into the charater nad is producing some great story lines. I would expectto see some more films made from his books. This would be a box office hit.

Believe the hype, this is sensational. There's not a dull sentence. The best thing is the description you rely feel that you are Alex. His anger, his happens ,his excitement. You share all his emotions.

Eagle Strike will please adults and children. Kids will love the action and adventure Adults will be reminded of what is was like when they wanted to be James Bond.

Alex Rider is arguably better than Harry Potter. This is a dam good read, but Scorpia is twice as good. Your a fool to turn it down ... Read More:

This is a great book. 5 out of 5. no doubt. Probably the best in the Alex Rider series. Fast, great dialogue and interesting.
This has to be one of the best adult/ young adult books out there. It comes close to FLEDGLING JASON STEED, but is better than the young JAMES BOND books. This makes CODY BANKS look like a comic.
Point Blanc is what made ALEX RIDER.

Having not really liked the Alex Rider series much execept for the first book, I was weary about this installment. But I decided to buy it - and thank goodness I did. I have never read a better Anthony Horowitz book, or such an action packed book.
It tells of forteen year old Alex Rider who, having discovered the disturbing truth about his father, is on a school trip to Italy when things take their turn. My nearly three year old boy insists on 'the Dogger book' every single night. And it is one of the few on his shelf that I dont mind reading again and again. Its a lovely story with a generous dose of drama and suspense - and a morality tale thrown in for good measure. The pictures are fantastic - lots of new little details to find with every read.

Highly recommended...
