I bought this book for my twin grand daughters when they were four months old. They loved the pictures and quickly picked up the repetition and loved hearing all the animal noises. By six months of age, they wiggled with delight every time they saw me pick up the book. They now try to push the sound buttons for themselves and never tire of having it read to them. Definitely the best book so far that I have bought for them.

This book soon became a favourite with our 20 month old son who is very into books and currently especially Thomas books. He would ask for 'Bertie' since this is about how Bertie the bus challenges Thomas to a race.

Although he enjoyed the sound button, and this did not last many days of rough toddler attention, there is plenty of opportunity in the text for making your own noises.

This is a brilliant book. Has nursery rhymes that are familiar to mom. The words are on the page while the sound buttons provide the music. Mom and baby will enjoy singing along to this one. Buttons are easy to press. My son (14 months) is able to activate the sounds himself. He brings his book to me and says 'Ba-Ba'. He wants me to sing for him 'Ba-Ba Black sheep'. My 3 and 5 year-old both love this book. Out of all the Fireman Sam products they have, this is their favourite. The delight they get from pressing the button and hearing the siren is quite wonderful. I am surprised by how much pleasure this book has given them both. I highly recommend it!
