As a counsellor working extensively with children of all ages, both sexes and from all backgrounds with a whole host of issues, I find this book invaluable in unlocking some of their unconscious thoughts and opening up lines of communication. But most of all, it's great fun. Think I should be receiving royalties for the sales I have actively encouraged. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

I bought this on a whim when purchasing another item for my daughter's birthday and I must admit that it is a pretty wee book which I know she will enjoy, however it is expensive for what it is. My advice is that you can get similar for cheaper from a supermarket if you can get to one or go to a library.

I was keen to buy a book that would help my three year to not only learn the letters of the alphabet but to also learn the sounds using phonics as well. I thought buying this book would help. Instead, I found the characters dry and the plot of each story tiresome.

Each sound has the letter written in black and white with arrows showing the way the word is to be written, which is helpful. Then in the margin, there are examples of words to match the letter sounds- but they are tiny. Hard to see ... Read More:

With stories written from some of the television series writers, the Doctor and Donna have been captured perfectly and it is easy to imagine the characters enacting the parts described in the text. I bought all 4 books from this collection, they are perfect for youngsters.
The pages are thick card, so not so easy to rip, bend or mutilate!!!
Any drool is easily wiped clean too :o)

Good little bedtime story books, with nice story, good colours & plenty of familiar faces from the TV progrm.

Highly recommended.

I love this book and all the other ones in this series because the illustrations are so great, very sweet, but incredibly bright and colourful at the same time, they really catch my babies' attention. They are also hardcover which is great for younger children because they cant tear (or eat) the pages and they can start to try and turn the pages themselves rather than have to sit there and be good in case the book gets all torn!
