I bought this book for my two boys who are six and seven years old, it looked great to me. Unfortunately after reading a few of the stories my boys said the book was just plain boring! Maybe it would be better suited for girls??? there are so many lovely books out there and I liked the idea of having lots of different stories all in one book, but it didn't work this time !!!

There is no doubt that Stephen Fry is entirely the MOST suitable person for the job of reading ANY story for an audio book. His voice is perfectly suited to story telling and he is able to define and animate the characters in his own colourful way. It's a good audio book and this is very much attributed to the talented Mr Fry.

This is a great book, my daughter [age 10] got this for Christmas and has spent hours making up different lettering, whats more her cousin [age 13]saw it and has spent hours with it and has begged me to get her one for at home. The book is full of fancy letter stencils with lots of fantastic ways to colour them in. It has doo daa's which you add to the letters like flower or stars and many others plus the end of the stencils have zig zags and curves to use to make borders around the letters.

I liked charlie and the chocolate factory a lot.I liked it because they were poor and charlie got a golden ticket. And that meant that Charlie could get all the chocolate and sweets that he wanted and, he could bring it home. My favorite part was when Veruca fell down the rubbish hole. There was more good parts as well, it was not the only one.

My two year old just adores Anthony Browne's books and this is a special favourite with the wonderful illustrations which are so detailed and intricate. A visual gem.

The story definitely has a dark and almost scary feeling to it but he just revels in finding all the different things hidden in the forest. Each time we open the book there is another just waiting to be found.

Another masterpiece and an introduction to the wonderful subtly of black and white images.

My son got a set of these books bought for his birthday and this is his absolute favourite. He is only 2 but he joins in with the actions and certain areas of the book are a highlight for him (where the cat jumps out) I can now read this book without looking after reading it so many times.

I would definitley recommend this for all children - a must have for your library at home!
