as a student teacher i'm constantly looking for new stories and poems - i was delighted to come across this book and took great pleasure in reading it to my class. The children range from 4 to 7 but all loved the story. My animal mad year 2's thought it was brillant whilst the very youngest put it down to magic!! i would recommend this book to anyone with children of any age or those who are still young at heart!!

although i felt it went a bit beyond the boundaries as it covers almost every aspect of suffering imaginable during world war 2. One small book should not contain such an immense amount of heartbreak, there is only so much we can take in one sitting. This book is meant to break your heart - and it manages it - over and over and over again. I do recommend it, it is a great little book, but be prepared to cry - a lot.

I really enjoyed this book from the first page. I like the way Enid Blyton introduces new characters and tells you about their personality. I think I would love to be at St Clare's and play lacrosse and go swimming. The teas sound lovely and I think it would be good to have to stay at school over the weekends with all your friends

Kiss is a sensational book about 2 people named Sylvie and Carl they loved eachother but as they grew older they changed and split apart but as tme progressed they got back together and were happy. Jaqueline Wilson is a well known author with books, if you like loads of gossip and personal life you will like this book. Happy reading!

For me it was the quirky details and the funny digressions that made this book so good. And the brilliant plot, of course. When I read the blurb I thought I was really going to have to suspend disbelief. I was wrong - it is so well constructed that it's easy to believe that Liam could get lost in space. This book is a real treat for children and grown-ups!
