I introduced my seven year old Grandson to Enid Blyton and he can't get enough of her books. He is a Californian who is now living in France so has no knowledge of England at any time. He doesn't care he loves the stories. They are not old fashioned to him they are just good tales. With CD's he can listen at any time instead of having to wait for bedtime for us to read to him.

This book is everything you want in a book.A main charachter you can sorta relate to.It is gripping and a good read.It is very bittersweet with the odd bit that I wanted to cry.It is one the best book written by Meg Cabot and mabey one of the best books in the world.I can`t wait till the sequel Being Nikki!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having seen the cartoon film as a child and then the live action I and loving them both I thought as an adult I should now read the book and its brilliant. It has elememts that are not transferable to the screen and even knowing the story inside out I was still excited by it. It was slightly embarrasing reading a book on the tube with pictures in it but I can assure you this book is worth any amount of embarresment. One of the greatest books of all time!

I absolutely loved these books when I was a child, so when I had a baby daughter I couldn`t wait to buy them for her. She`s a bit too young to understand what I`m reading to her at the moment so I can`t tell you if she enjoys the stories but when I did read it to her I was a tiny bit disappointed that it didn`t seem quite as good as I remembered, but then things never do, do they!
