I knew I was going to enjoy the book because I love Jacqueline Wilsons. I don't like Chloe because she is mean, but I like Daisy because she is nice to her friends. It is a little bit sad in places but also happy. It was very exciting. Amy and Daisy are best friends and Chloe and Emily are best friends but not for long. The book would be suitable for girls 7+. This is the first book I ever read, so I always look back on this book with a certian ammount of nostalgia.
Nostalgia aside, I found that this is a very packed book for less than 200 pages.
I find it hard to disemminate the plot without at least one spoiler, so I'll let you read the book.
Snibril is the character to whom most of the action happens to, and his development is supurb.

My 2.75 year old son just loves this book. As well as the funny stories and excellent pictures, Richard Scarry has added the extra excitement of 'Goldbug' who is hiding on the pages in various places. Given everything is so silly, the educational factor is brilliant. Keep them coming, we'll never stop using this book!!!

If there was a zero star I would have to put that. The worst thing is reading a book where an author obviously has strange, misguided and warped opinions and hang-ups regarding society, sexuality and religious faiths and puts them into the mouths of his or her little invented characters (which all reveal a little part of the writer). this is one of the best books i have read in a while!
i wasnt too sure about it when i was reading the first chapter, but it turned out to be absolutely brilliant, its definitley the best book by meg cabot.
you definitly shouldnt judge this book by its cover, the plot was really unexpected. basically the two main characters(a script writer and an actor) get stranded in alaska and need to find a way to survive, with lots of twists and turns and a bit of romance, and lots of laughs.
i really recommend that you read it.

i wasnt too sure about it when i was reading the first chapter, but it turned out to be absolutely brilliant, its definitley the best book by meg cabot.
you definitly shouldnt judge this book by its cover, the plot was really unexpected. basically the two main characters(a script writer and an actor) get stranded in alaska and need to find a way to survive, with lots of twists and turns and a bit of romance, and lots of laughs.

I adore this book and it has been cherished and read again and again for my 2 daughters. They found the idea of Bernard's parents not noticing he'd turned into a monster very funny and not at all sad or scary. I personally don't think there is any sinister message here - all kids know of the feeling of being ignored by their parents at some point in their lives!!
