This thing, the deathly hallows, the beginning wasn't the best beginning, but... I could not stop reading it. I don't understand why people think the ending is disappointing. The Nineteen years later could be expanded into a book, maybe, but, if J.K doesn't then that's all we really need to know to end the Harry potter phenomenon. Hopefully she will deliver another H.P book, because I know, I know, it won't end here.

the thing i love about horrible histories are that i can read them over and over again.
as a child i was addicted, and still today i read them.
the books give information easily enough for children to undersatand, and don't make you fall asleep.
all the books are fab.

I queued up for this book on the 15th of July 2005, and it was worth it. This book is definitely one of my favourite Harry Potters, along with COS, GOF and DH.
There was so much going on, unlike OOTP, and I loved all the memories and Dumbledore and Harry looking for the Horcruxes.

It was interesting to see how Malfoy's character developed from book one onwards, and I think that in this book in particular you see what he will become. I thought him being a death eater was a great idea, and I enjoyed reading ... Read More:

The stories are told at a good pace for children, with plenty of dialogue.
In 'Horrid Henry and the Abominable Snowman' Henry's plans to win a best snowman competition go awry and he gets a bit of a come uppance!

The second story 'Horrid Henry's Rainy Day' has Henry writing a will, an unusual heme for a children's story but it works. Henry's thoughts on how he would come back to haunt people if he died of boredom is particulary funny.

As all the reviews say, nicely presented book, in the style of the series. To be fair, it is titled 'Songs and Rhymes from "In the Night Garden"' and it is exactly that - so you shouldn't expect a story in it, there are other story books if you are looking for that sort of thing. I think they missed an opportunity here as it would have made a lovely set if this was presented with the CD. I would have given it more stars if it had been a proper board book (my 18 month old son is still quite rough with books at the moment!) - it is hardback ... Read More:
