Its Christmas Eve at Appple Tree Farm and everyone is preparing for Christmas. Poppy and Sam wrap presents, feed the animals and write letters for Santa. Farmer Dray and Dolly deliver a big Christmas Tree. Then on Christmas day they find that Santa has given them what they wanted. Its a lovely book with buttons to press for sounds you may hear as you read through the book. My 3 year old wanted it read again and again and liked lifting the flaps to see what was underneath.
Excellent book.

This is without doubt my favourite children's Christmas story. As it says right at the beginning, "This is a story about wishing", and it tells how a little orphan girl named Ivy wishes for a doll to hold and a family to love her at Christmas, and of a Christmas doll named Holly who wishes for a child to own her, but remains unsold when the toy shop closes on Christmas Eve. There is also a woman with no children of her own who would love a little girl to look after. How the three wishes interact ... Read More:

This is one of my favorite cross-stitch books. I have already stitched 3 of the Santas from it and hope to eventually stitch them all. The photography is excellent and the charts are very well done. Along with each photo is some history about the various renderings of Santa. It is a great book for stitchers and Santa collectors alike!!!

It's been long time since I read this book, but I still remember clearly how good it was.

Out of all the series, it's got to be one of the better storylines. Jay, Starlights (The star of the story!) owner falls almost terminally ill. Kirsty Scott offers to look after the beautiful Arab, at her mother, Sandy's, Dude Ranch.

Unfortunately, the pining pony also turns critical, refusing to eat, and almost dieing from malnutrition. Ok, I've told you enough already. If you want ... Read More:

A perfect book for getting one into the mood for Christmas. For people of all ages and faiths, the book looks at the themes and traditions of Christmas, and how they came about. Written from the author's own experience of growing up in a big clergy family, and now as a working mother and wife of the Archbishop of Canterbury, the book has a very personal voice. Written in a clear and accessible style, the book has great charm and humour, and is full of Williams's own insights and questions ... Read More:
