This book is incredible! i read it in 1 day as i couldn't put it down and sped through it. Alison's desciptions were first class and it left me wanting for more, you can believe that these world's nd poeple exsit. :)

Maerad's/Cadvan's relationship is very intense and when they argue it made me feel sad and i can really relate to it.

When Arkan comes in to the picture it is obvious, to me, that maerad and him are destined to belong together and the small reactions and emotions ... Read More:

So, having finished the simply awesome Abhorsen trilogy i was eager to read more of Garth Nix's books and thought where better to go next than the Keys To The Kingdom series. I was quite surprised for a number of reasons but thanfully, it was a pleasant kind of surprise.

My first recommendation is that make sure you read the first novel, Mister Monday, first as there is a lot of stuff you need to know about like the Will, the keys, the days, the house etc. the list goes on. ... Read More:

Believe the hype, this is sensational. There's not a dull sentence. The best thing is the description you rely feel that you are Alex. His anger, his happens ,his excitement. You share all his emotions.

Eagle Strike will please adults and children. Kids will love the action and adventure Adults will be reminded of what is was like when they wanted to be James Bond.

Alex Rider is arguably better than Harry Potter. This is a dam good read, but Scorpia is twice as good. Your a fool to turn it down

Drowned Wednesday continues where preceding book, Grim Tuesday, left off. As with all of Nix's work it is some of the best contemporary fantasy on offer at the moment and his imagery is pure magic. On the whole, i felt Drowned Wednesday lacked some of the carefree charm of Grim Tuesday but made up for it with a more mature feel. It shows the series progressing, both Nix and his characters only adding to the appeal and power of the series.

Arthur comes across as a far more interesting character ... Read More:

This book is mainly in the form of a diary. The first and last chapter are the only ones, which are not in the structure of diary. It is about a boy, called Michael (probably the author), who goes to his Great Aunt Laura's funeral in the Isles of Scilly. After the funeral, everyone goes back to her old little cottage to see what things she had left for them. Michael got her diary: it wasn't a proper diary that she wrote in everyday but only when something exciting happened. Find out what she wrote about in it and find out how the book got its title ... This is just about the worst book I have ever read. The characters to me were about as lifless as rag dolls, The story line is about the most feeble out of any book I have ever read and over all I think it was very badly written and not worth purchasing.

June 02, 2008
Having loved the Paddington Bear series of books as a child, I was delighted to find this Golden Anniversary story. It's a terrific little book, which I read in one sitting. As usual, Paddington gets caught up in all sorts of scrapes, here involving the police, travel agents and of course, Mr Curry from next door. The Brown family and Mrs Bird are ever present and although the children have grown up a little, the feel of the family is the same as in the earlier books. Bond adopts a lightly satirical approach that will appeal to older readers, gently mocking ... Read More:

The pictures in this book are designed to encourage children to talk about the book and predict what might happen next. The opening page shows a detailed scene, which introduces the main characters and vocabulary that appear in throughout the book. The book has essential style for early readers, simple straight forward sentences, large clear type, an easy to read font, repeated phases, lively humorous illustrations and a close match between pictures and words. It is part of a series of popular, traditional tales written in a simple way that young children can understand ... Read More:
