This is a low budget classic from Scorsese made in 1973. There is certainly an impressive sense of time and place in this film, and it came as a shock to me to learn that most of it was filmed in Los Angeles. i have seen many films most are acceptable a few which are boring and some i couldn't stand. but this has started a new league of it's own i found that the films were mind griping exciting and almost had me glued to my chair. if any one is unsure wheater or not to buy these films my advice to you would be rent them first and see if you enjoy it i done that my self and adored these movies. i highly recommend this and i'm sure you will enjoy it to.

I had no idea what this film was about when I started watching it, and was drawn in quickly by the tale of the violent and charismatic Clooney and the even more violent but decidedly less uncharismatic Tarantino as they make an unholy mess and escaped to Mexico. The family led by Keitel gets caught up in the criminals plans and the tension is really well done. Unlike another reviewer here, I really did sympathise with the position of the family and was genuinely hooked on what was going to happen to them all.

It might be a little slow in getting started which might but people off but it just adds to the magic of the story. I couldnt believe it when I read that this was a flop at the box office, I really enjoyed it.

It's a beautiful story about two people who think they have found love really find it. Meryl Streep & Robert De Nero was inspiring and truley believeable as Molly & Frank.

Having watched this movie for the first time in ten years (yesterday-June '08), I was blown away by its brilliance and power. Lets get down to the brass tacks- this is a low-budget movie and it has the patina of a cheap amateur production. First movie from the big-chin Quentin Tarantino who came out of nowhere (i.e., a video store in Manhattan Beach, California) and turned Hollywood on its ear in 1992 with this breath of fresh air.

This is an awful, awful film. The plot is pathetic and makes no sense. In fact it annoyed me whilst watching it because it was so bad. Even my 7 year old got bored and started asking questions about why he was doing this and that. (Arthur that is).

The only good thing about this film is The child actor who plays Arthur who is brilliant and stars in the Spiderwick Chronicles, which is a fantastic film and shouldn't be mentioned in the same breathe as this drivel.

I didn't even know there were two sequels to this, that probably means they're awful. I liked From Dusk 'til Dawn very much, but didn't take it to seriously. In fact it's the only Tarantino movie I like. I think he's too over-rated as a director and writer. He gives me the impression he'd stamp his feet and throw a tantrum if a Hollywood studio said "no" to one of his films. He needs to chill and grow up a little.
