I have just finished watching this set. I had seen some early episodes originally but watched all again. It is almost a bit "Lost on Mars" as the early series now do seem dated or rather perfectly portraying that time - the early 1990s. while the first national treasure was what i would describe as a bank holiday film,the ones that you carnt be bothered to switch over because you have had too much pie, this travesty of a film only engages you on the level that you keep watching to see if it could be anymore worse which it does in spades. i am glad i never bought it only rented, but then again i wish i could have my rental fee. i have seen many films most are acceptable a few which are boring and some i couldn't stand. but this has started a new league of it's own i found that the films were mind griping exciting and almost had me glued to my chair. if any one is unsure wheater or not to buy these films my advice to you would be rent them first and see if you enjoy it i done that my self and adored these movies. i highly recommend this and i'm sure you will enjoy it to.

I do like this film but it is very, very American. Why ??

Did any of the classic Ealing comedies cater for Americans. Why do we do this so much.

Apparently Victoria Wood wrote a script of the same story but this one got made because it had an American part to it.

No doubt someone will make Wuthering Heights soon with Heathcliff going to America in his " missing" years.

Helen Mirren and Julie Walters are sooooo good in the film.

I originally had no intentions of watching this film let alone buying it, but then I got curious, so I picked it up for a couple of pounds.

I'm very pleased that I did, I think this gives a very good account of what happened or what may have happened in the aftermath of the death of Princess Diana.

You'll either love or hate this film. It is both utterly grotesque and beautifully amusing. Gambon is masterful and dominates throughout, as his character is wont to do. As this is very much an abstract film (Being set around a single elaborate restaurant) where the colour of the character's clothes is dependent upon which room they're in, the characters are also very abstract. The characters, bar Gambon and Tim Roth and his cronies, tend to be rather static, not moving much, and the lovemaking is slow and tender.
