With Eastwood directing and Spielberg producing I looked forward to seeing this film with some anticipation, especially being an avid fan of WW2 films. What a let down! There was no heart to the film. Unlike Saving Private Ryan, I felt no empathy with any of the characters and frankly by the end I couldn't have cared less what happened to these people. The film was choppy, the sound appalling (we had to revert to subtitles!) and the dialogue trite. Very disappointing.

Any film that comes with a U certificate and stars talking animals can usually be guaranteed to be slightly lame - flimsy plot, rubbish script and duff acting. Not here! Underdog is tons of fun. Enough slapstick to keep 4 year olds happy, enough toilet humour to keep 7 year olds happy and enough wink-nudge one-liners to make the grown-ups giggle and it's all helped along by the brilliantly droll voicing of Underdog by Jason Lee of My Name is Earl fame. I first watched this film a couple of years ago when my friend got given it. I fully expected to be slightly dissapointed because i was at that time a big lover of Dirty Dancing the original. However this film, in my opinion is a lot better than the first one.

I really enjoyed this film, but it's difficult to provide a review for it without it sounding a really tedious movie. It's definitely a gentle film, it's insightful and thought-provoking, but it makes you smile a lot too. Hurray for a thoroughly enjoyable movie, I forgot how much I enjoyed this film. Great story about a witness protection marshal played by Arnie and a corrupt Marshal played by James Caan. Vanessa Williams although the damsel in distress does pack a punch too.

There is so much action in this right from the word go and it blends aircraft punch ups, shoot em ups, alligator wrestling, explosions and just way over the top action perfectly.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this film. I thought it would probably be quite silly and predictable, but I was pleasantly surprised.
I didn't get the irritating "why are they doing that" feeling, which made this film very watchable. I wouldn't call it a comedy but I suppose it depends on your sense of humour but there are some amusing bits. I enjoyed the car chase after they get the bomb.
