I just love films like this, the special effects are fantastic, they dont make films like this anymore, its a pity as we english used to be leading the best film industry in the world. now we are hopless at making great films our American cousins have lead the way for such a long time.I also like this film as its location is Canary Islands in Tenerife, it is a lovely place its well worth a visit.

Having been to Edinburgh and seen the statue of Bobby, this film had some meaning for me. Film makers - including Disney - just don't make films like this anymore, probably because society has changed so much since this was filmed in 1960.

Think of "Forbidden Planet" (1956) and you think of Anne Francis. There were space movies before this and after this yet Ann Francis is the definitive space babe. After watching "One Million Years B.C.", Raquel though a little fuzzy will always be in our minds.

This is a very special season for all fans specially because Farrah Fawcett is back for a few special guest star episodes and this is the last season for Kate Jackson. All them are lovely, it is nice to see how Farrah and Cheryl Ladd mix so well, and Jaclyn Smith! Recently I purchased one of the above set of DVDs and whilst I think the video quality is very good and the audio a little less so, I have to say that I found the transfer order of the episodes on the discs about the most disorganized I have ever come across. The transmission order of the episodes is all over the place. e.g. Episode 1 on Disc 3 - Episode 2 on Disc 1 - Episode 3 on Disc 3 - Episode 4 on Disc 1 and so on, what a shambles.

although this isn't a modern film it is still incredible to watch time and time again. one of Ray Harryhausen's greatest pieces of special FX with the hydra, talos and the skelton warriors. if you haven't watched it before it is well worth it.
