This is exactly what you would expect of a "Chipmunk" film. Lots of hilarious slapstick humour, silly, but predictable storyline, plus the enigmatic, if somewhat over-egged Chipmunk voices.

Storyline, of this mixed real film and CGI, is basically of an aspiring songwriter, struggling to write any kind of song, which is where Alvin, Theodore and Simon come in. From there the hilarities start and the predictable plot unwinds.

The main Castle scenes were shot at Castle Howard in Yorkshire two hundred Miles from London but in the film they claim its ' Carlisle Castle ' forty Miles from London.

In fact there is a real ' Carlisle Castle ' but that is a good three hundred Miles from London.

In the film they show ' Scotland Yard ' even although its name was changed to ' New Scotland Yard ' when it moved in November 1890.

An entertaining movie but not the best muppet caper.
Gonzo is feeling different and lonely. Nothing his muppet buddies do can make him feel any better. One day he receives a message from space. His family are coming to visit!
No one believes him until the sinister agency responsible for extra terrestial life kidnap him and try to suck his brains out. Then it's muppets to the rescue and the usual capers and chaos ensue.
Great film for children of all ages!

I loved the Garfield cartoons as a kid. To find out they were finally doing a live action movie was quite exciting, although unfortunately like school uniform, you grow out of it as you get older.

Having said that its very interesting to watch if you're familiar with the cartoon, but if you hated that, then the films will not turn your opinion.

I watched this today on an airoplane on my way back from holiday. It isn't something i would normally chose but i decided to watch it anyway. I am soo glad i did. It's really very funny and i actually was laughing out loud. This chipmunks are soo cute i wanted to take them home. I recomend this to anyone who just wants to have a laugh.
