For 1,5 year now we have this dvd and still isn't boring at all.Not for my 3,5 year old or for us.I love the voices!!What a gift to be able to tell a story with just enough words and drawings.Story's with humor and tenderness.
Very practical because there many short story's so you can decide how long your child can watch.

In addition to all the positive things about this DVD I would just also like to mention two drawbacks:
1.) If you don't like the Walt Disney singing parades, this is a no for I'm afraid it contains quite a few
2.) The stories do NOT come to a natural and obvious end but rather one leads on to the other so you do have the debate as to whether the child may not watch a little more ...and just another little more ...

If you loved the original all those years ago with the voice of the inimitable John Alderton, you will love this new updated version. The theme tune has been revamped, the stories are all brand new and so are some of the characters. There's a new Mountain Rescue to add to the emergency fun, crewed by an Aussie pilot and his helicopter. All the old favourite original residents of Pontypandy are there too, as eccentric as ever and constantly needing one emergency service or other!

firstly, i would just like to say, that this dvd bumper set has to be one of the most essential buys this year, ( if your a full time parent, youl know what i mean)

here we have nearly 2 full hours of postman pat and all his acquaintences, good old mrs goggins, ted glen, alf, dr gilbertson and new pals, ajay bains and wife, and daughter meera.

i must say, put this dvd on if you need to unwind because it keeps my two boys quiet for hours!! you can only do so much baby games or you will go mad.

This DVD is a rare gem in childrens entertainment. Percy is a kind, caring 'gardener' who lives in his little shed (very well equiped for a small space) with all his animal 'friends' around. All lovely episodes with good stories teaching children about caring for the environment and other people/animals. Would thoroughly recommend as 'family viewing'. We all love it in our house.

This is a good one, featuring some of the later 'earlier' Pat stories.
Now, what I want to see, is the very earliest Pat stories on DVD, I actually prefer the man's voice doing the women voices on the early stories and cannot believe that they are still not available on DVD. An oversight that surely must be put right soon!

im not normally one who likes originals, especially when the newer ones boast far better technology, but after having managed to pay attention to this dvd for a change, its really bl**dy funny.

this has become a sort of comical, light glimpse of britain, back one or two generations (not quite sure exactly when but looks like 70's?) when things were alot more innocent then they are today and before anyone knew what political correctness was.

This is a good value DVD, containing loads of episodes (over 130 mins), which will provide a bit of variety to help stave off the Bob fatigue (among the adults, anyway, I've no doubt kids could sit through the same episode indefinitely!)

My 2 year old twins love it. The reason it doesn't get five stars is some of the other HIT DVDs have a continuous random play feature which alas is missing here and it has lengthy unskippable copyright and logo scenes at the start, which is especially annoying in a children's ... Read More:
