In addition to all the positive things about this DVD I would just also like to mention two drawbacks:
1.) If you don't like the Walt Disney singing parades, this is a no for I'm afraid it contains quite a few
2.) The stories do NOT come to a natural and obvious end but rather one leads on to the other so you do have the debate as to whether the child may not watch a little more ...and just another little more ...

Just watched this and it's the usual fantastic Barbie quality with songs that High School Musical should have stolen ! I'm afraid some element of threat in a good verses bad storyline is inevitable (re. the previous review), I'm afraid it's just part of training for life. It's a Barbie video for goodness sake, it makes Disney stuff look evil !

I too thought I had a slightly dodgy copy seeing some picture wobble, but I can see from other reviews I'm not alone. That said I would buy it again just as it is, my favourite is good old Windy Miller. I forgot that its not like Postman Pat's more modern animation silly me it was 1966 after all. For the moment my 2 year old daughter prefers Postman Pat, Bob, Sam and the Little Red Tractor but it was as much for me as my kids and I am not disappointed. A bargin price too, no more than a fancy cup of coffee. Go ... Read More:

For 1,5 year now we have this dvd and still isn't boring at all.Not for my 3,5 year old or for us.I love the voices!!What a gift to be able to tell a story with just enough words and drawings.Story's with humor and tenderness.
Very practical because there many short story's so you can decide how long your child can watch.

The 123's part of this is excellent. My son has watched it time and time again and now knows all his numbers from 1 - 9. There are songs and a storyline to keep him interested and he still enjoys it now.

The ABCs bit is not good. It only deals with a handful of letters - and capital letters at that - and rhyming words which unless the child understands what rhymes are and can already read is a bit pointless. We have watched it a few times, but it's not really worth it.

I was looking for the theme tunes for the Trumpton, Chigley and Camberwick programmes, when I stumbled on this little gem!

After watching the first few episodes I happened to mention to my brother about buying and watching them, and now I have been requested to buy a set for him too!

A wonderful reminiscence about such a beautiful little world! I'm glad I went hunting around Amazon that day.
