You don't need to know the story... I'm sure you're aware it's about a fish and his dad. 'Nuff said!
This review is for the parents. My three year old son is pretty hardy but over the year or more he has been watching it I have found myself exercising various levels of censorship. On the whole it's fine but be warned Nemo's mum does get killed, there are murderous sharks, exploding war time mines and spooky deep sea beasts with large teeth!

In addition to all the positive things about this DVD I would just also like to mention two drawbacks:
1.) If you don't like the Walt Disney singing parades, this is a no for I'm afraid it contains quite a few
2.) The stories do NOT come to a natural and obvious end but rather one leads on to the other so you do have the debate as to whether the child may not watch a little more ...and just another little more ...

This is one of those dvds you can get out any time of year over and over again and it still appeals. Who would have thought combining a witch, a doctor and WWII would create such wonder.

The characters created by Angela Lansbury (Miss Price the good witch) and David Thomlinson (Dr Amelius Brown)are wonderful and the combination of settings, singing, dancing and animation are very well balanced. Our whole family love this film.

I just watched this the other day, for old times sake. It was brilliant - better than I remembered. Whoever said that you can outgrow disney couldn't have been more wrong. I laughed and laughed along with my friend, and even if we were laughing at new found jokes, it didn't matter. It's definately worth buying. But if you're older, watch it with a friend to make it more enjoyable.

beautiful movie, based on the theory taht dinosaurs lived even after teh meteorite struck the earth. the decision to combine real life landscape with computer animation fits erally well and i think add to the story

I grew up watching only a few films and the Hunchback of Notre Dame was one of them.
I used to get my mam to rent it from the local video shop over and over again, and in the end the owner just ended up giving us the video.
Sadly, since my VHS player stopped working last year, i have had to convert all my videos onto DVD, which is a pain and costs money.

Some people consider "Bug's Life" as not being on the same level of quality as other Pixar productions, but I really can not agree with them. My daughter clearly wouldn't agree either. The Lion King is my all time favourite disney film, i just love the story the music and the way it all comes together. I have watched this film countless times and still want to watch it again. The newer disney films are in comparison rubbish to the lion king its such a big hit,so gripping and i have looked in countless shops for it and to no luck. There are a million and one copies of 101 dalmations,Aladdin but no Lion King because no1 wants to part with it, its a Quality film that i will love forever.
