The film is good fun, but this review is about the bluray disc.

Excellent picture. Had a friend round to watch it, he has seen films on my system before (sony 40 inch bravia with PS3) but his jaw was dropping to the ground on this.

The CGI in particular is stunning on the Bluray disc, every time I watch it I notice some new bit of detail on the robots, though generally every scene is of very high visual quality.

I was going to buy the Snow buddies dvd but after reading the first review I checked the story. I read the pups were only 6 weeks old before being taken from their mother 2 died and some other pups contracted parvo. We waited a long time for this and the major feeling was of huge dissapointment. Having given it a good 5 or 6 years Im currently giving it another go and I have to say, the main weakness is that it looks like a cartoon. Disney films have pretty much gone downhill since the "Hunchback of Notre Dame" animated movie. In that film, the heroine kicks men in the groin to make her escape and the comedy relief is provided by a stone gargoyle that relieves itself by passing gas.

In this film, we have a live dog urinating on the leg of a prince and a chipmunk that defecates when frightened.

Is this what passes for family entertainment these days?
