Mamma Mia is the new top musical since the release of Hairspray. In my opinion, Julie Walter's performance as Rosie was one of the highlights of the show and who cares if Brosnan can't sing, it was hilarious. Music and Laughter makes the best show ever. Although I haven't seen the stage play, the movie has definitly exceeded expectations.

Having been unimpressed with first series of The Wire, I only started watching this, the second series, due to the endless critical praise that I kept seeing every time I picked up a newspaper. I was disappointed by the whole of season 2. The story is so depressing, there are very few light moments. It's a real shame because it looks great and it's well acted but it's just depressing.
