Good film. The DVD we rented had poor sound quality and we had to turn the TV up to full volume!but other than that it was the kind of film that we like to watch on the run up to Christmas. Nice story line. Would recommend.

For people who look back to remember with nostalgia the days of the classic fireman sam series this is the perfect remedy to missing the hero next door. The episodes are well preserved, and to be fair haven't dated too much - they were just as good as I remembered first time around. Our 20 month old daughter adores this dvd and sings claps and dances in time with Barney and his friends, anything else on tv does not even get a look in, unfortunately though its heavy going on the parents, those songs just go round and round in your head, still is only about 40 minutes long.- happy clapping folks!

In recent reviews, I have questioned a great deal about the values and qualities of modern Disney movies. I am a little baffled in whether I am watching a typical Disney animation at all.

I remember the good old disney classics that I really enjoyed watching for its endless humour and cherfulness. Unfortunately, Atlantis- The Lost Empire paints a different picture. It is sinister and darker, with the Disney magic totally abscence. The characters are gloomy and seldomly smile.

I am a teenage girl aged 13, the other night my younger brother put on Sky High while i was doing my homework. I looked up and thought 'oh, another of those pointless films he always watches' when actually after 5 minutes i was intrigued! It was funny, entertaining, and a good 'hero V villain' kind of movie. In reply to 'L.Streader', whats wrong with the baby gun?! The plot of the film is obviously not real, with them being superheroes and all, so why not have a fictional gun?

Following on from Mr. P. R. Clarke's review (27 May 2008), I contacted Abbey Home Media regarding this title and they replied on May 28th as follows:

"There was indeed found to be an error with the manufacture of both discs in 'The Wombles Complete Collection' boxset. Abbey Home Media were made aware of this problem on release and notified all retailers immediately.

This problem has now been rectified and we have been advised by the manufacturer to expect delivery of new stock this week."
