My daughter is 2 and had all the baby einsteins from birth, this is even better, she loves it, i love that the cartoon characters walk and fly around real video sceans around the world, visit famous landmarks, learn about listening to music, really worth the money, then they learn loads instead of just watching baby like storys

Kids probably won't be as critical, or be as concerned about the dramatic decline in quality of animation or screenplay from a once very prestigious stable. Some people consider "Bug's Life" as not being on the same level of quality as other Pixar productions, but I really can not agree with them. My daughter clearly wouldn't agree either. Any film that comes with a U certificate and stars talking animals can usually be guaranteed to be slightly lame - flimsy plot, rubbish script and duff acting. Not here! Underdog is tons of fun. Yes this is basically a kids film, but as a 40+ person with no kids who has purchased the DVD, I'll happily own up to being an adult who loves this film.

This film set the benchmark for computer animated films when it was released in 1995 and it still looks good today. The story is simple and the characters are marvellous. Whoever thought of the idea that Buzz Lightyear could be a toy who believes he really is a Space Ranger deserved an Oscar. Its a brilliantly conceived idea, which has a funny and at times touching script.

If you loved the original all those years ago with the voice of the inimitable John Alderton, you will love this new updated version.
