If you collect Disney DVD's (the orinigal cinema releases, not the poor quality sequels straight to video) then check out Brother Bear 2 as a suprisingly up to orignal quality potential purchase.
The songs are of high quality, the animation is smooth and detailed and the voices are all the same as the original movie (except the main character, originally Joaquin Phoenix).
Very suprised that this has so much work put into it being so disapointed by Atlantis 2 and Hunchback 2.

I bought this for my nephew for his birthday as he is 8 and a Tintin fan - he is also French and does not speak a word of English. The description and commentaries stated that the DVDs were in French and English - this is a lie it is in English only (not even any sub-titles). I'm sure these are very good DVDs if you want English translations but if you want the ORIGINAL language or if you are heard of hearing and require sub-titles then you'll have to look elsewhere. The Lion King is my all time favourite disney film, i just love the story the music and the way it all comes together. I have watched this film countless times and still want to watch it again. The newer disney films are in comparison rubbish to the lion king its such a big hit,so gripping and i have looked in countless shops for it and to no luck. There are a million and one copies of 101 dalmations,Aladdin but no Lion King because no1 wants to part with it, its a Quality film that i will love forever.

This film, in my opinion, has a very weak storyline and would benefit from some funnier jokes. The plot is not very original and although it is one of the worst films I have seen for acting I realise that it was also aimed at wowing the audience with iceskating. As well as the missing episode discussed in other reviews- the notorious Man's Best Friend, listed on the reverse of the box but not included on the third disc- the Region 2 version does not feature any of the seven commentaries by John Kricfalusi and company or the art gallery that's on the Region 1 version.

This film version of Jules Verne's novel, "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" has few, if any flaws. It won Oscars for art direction and special effects (deservedly) and the performances (especially James Mason and Kirk Douglas) were overlooked at Oscar time, probably because science fiction is often not taken seriously.

One of the funniest films I have ever seen
I was thrilled to see you can get it on DVD I want to share this with my 3 daughters great film lovers with great senses of humours.
Derek Nimo was brilliant in this film, when I saw this originally many years ago, he was in a british sit com called 'O Brother' he always made/makes me laugh!
