I grew up as a fan of Asterix and Obelix, and I have the box set of the old animated movies, and they are FUNNY!

Apparently this movie is based on the book Asterix and the Normans, but the creators were incapable of doing a straight Asterix adventure.

Pretty good overall, but the characters of Daphne, Fred, and Velma were very disappointing. For starts Freddy is vain, Velma is moany, and Daphne is Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Matthew lillard played shaggy exremely well and was true to the cartoon character. The story line was pretty good, but I can't quite believe that Scrappy would try to take over the world. Another example of a character acting out of character!

Out of all the Barbie movies that we have this has to be the favourite of my little girls. They watch it everychance they get. Although after they had seen it everyday for 12 days straight it did start to wear me out. The good thing about this is the Dancing, encouraging little girls and boys to dance by coping the moves, another good thinig about this over the other movies is there isn't so much singing as it can take little ones a while to learn the songs but dance moves are picked up easily. I remember watching the United States' defeat of the vaunted Russian Olympic hockey team at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York. The Russians were undefeated since 1961. And 1960 was the last year we won the "Gold". The title of the movie is an apt description of the USA upset at Lake Placid in 1980.

A wonderful adaptation of some brilliant stories written by the inimatable Beatrix Potter.
Charm oozes out of every picturesque scene we are presented with.

The characters are brought to life in such a realistic way with voices by well chosen actors.
My Mother bought the video version of these stories years ago when I was still a young child,but they sadly didn't work anymore.

If you collect Disney DVD's (the orinigal cinema releases, not the poor quality sequels straight to video) then check out Brother Bear 2 as a suprisingly up to orignal quality potential purchase.
The songs are of high quality, the animation is smooth and detailed and the voices are all the same as the original movie (except the main character, originally Joaquin Phoenix).
Very suprised that this has so much work put into it being so disapointed by Atlantis 2 and Hunchback 2.

I normally don't go for Disney family movies like this, but I'm a sucker for a good switching places gimmick. Basically, the plot revolves around Jamie Lee Curtis (the single mom) and Lindsay Lohan (the stereotypically rebellious teenaged daughter) switching bodies for a day after eating some magical fortune cookies. The Lion King is my all time favourite disney film, i just love the story the music and the way it all comes together. I have watched this film countless times and still want to watch it again. The newer disney films are in comparison rubbish to the lion king its such a big hit,so gripping and i have looked in countless shops for it and to no luck. There are a million and one copies of 101 dalmations,Aladdin but no Lion King because no1 wants to part with it, its a Quality film that i will love forever.
