Well, I can't say I know anything about the directors or the backgrounds mentioned in other reveiws, all I can tell you is that this DVD is great! I have the others (1-3) and this is the one that my children always want to watch, I don't know why, but something obviously grabs their attention!
If you are looking for one for the kids, this is it!

An awful lot of people have heard someone else say that Ren And Stimpy suffered after creator John Kricfalusi left, or rather, was booted off his own show. These people then say the same thing themselves, and so begins a pattern. Teenagers in particular are quick to jump on bandwagons where they get to claim the earliest of something (Metallica albums, Red Dwarf episodes) are the best, without really knowing what they're talking about. Restored cartoons with some interesting extra material. The menus are as with the first DVD a bit cumbersome.

Nice to have these wonderful old cartoons on DVD, I remember many of them from my childhood. They are really well restored also - the DVDs I have of unrestored cartoons of a similar vintage look awful in comparison.

We had this on video when I was a child and I watched it so many times that the tape got worn out and I couldn't anymore. I was heartbroken! and also very glad to see it now available on DVD!

I'm surprised no-one's mentioned Archimedes yet - he and Merlin vie for best character in my opinion. A fluffy, pompous, talking owl! Quote:

The anime had a much better storyline, character development, action and music.

The project build it series in sunflower valley is definately a big hit with my son.
This DVD more than other ones feels like the stories need to watched one after another in order to make sense, so if you only ever watch one then perhaps this is not the one for you.
As ever a shame there aren't more episodes on the one DVD(5 episodes and 4 mini stories).

Our two sons (4 & 2) really enjoyed this. They have been making Zero X and Thunderbird 4 with their Brio ever since. The 4 year old keeps wanting to know what number Thunderbird the "Thunderbird Boys" are in. Mum and Dad loved it too - it took us back to our own childhood. We were both amazed with the quality of the special effects, they stood the test of time well.
