I got this DVD for my 5 month old after great sucess with the Baby Mozart DVD- altho I am not keen to put her in front of the tellie at all, there are times when every parent needs to get the washing done etc and this DVD is brilliant entertainment for little children- it's full of wonderful colors and sounds and the language aspect is so fantastic. I would highly recommend this for any child- my baby never tires of it and is constantly entertained and stimulated.

Excellent yoga dvd, it's got the right amount of strengthening and stretching, plus the pace isn't too fast for post-natal tired bodies! Well shot and differnt difficulty ratings depending on how you're feeling. Also, split into parts so if you can't face the whole think at least you can do something. Got my core strenght back after a c-section, so much appreciated! Plus really good baby massage section.

Despite this being very dated,the information given is very valuable. The clothes and the manner maybe dated (1990)but the act of giving birth has not changed. Just treat the rest as entertainment because her knowledge actually makes a lot of sense. I have got many books and feel this information give this little bit extra. I was sceptical when I first heard about baby signing but the benefits sounded so good I had to try it............. so I did some research and bought this DVD.

I was hooked from the first viewing - and I found it such an easy way to learn signs! The DVD has a really useful leaflet to help you understand the principles of baby signing and get started straight away.

Of the composers DVDs in the Baby Einstein range, Baby Mozart could be considered as the groundbreaker, while Baby Beethoven could be considered as the best. This one doesn't really take the concept forward, and some of the ideas are very similar to Baby Mozart. Bach's music can be a little "mechanical" at times, but the use of the Brandenburg Concertos is wonderful, and the "winter scenes" will captivate a young audience. I found this dvd so boring and tedious, it has put me off pilates for life! There is no time for position changes or the amount of reps she suggests. I found myself wrestling with pillows and rolling my 19 week pregnant body round the floor trying to quickly get into the next position. I did not find the excercises particularly challenging or beneficial as I am quite fit (though old at 42).

I am 25 weeks pregnant, and was fairly fit before pregnancy, working out usually 3 times a week. I bought a few pregnancy workout DVD's and was so disappointed that they didn't feel like I was workout out - if I'd wanted a stretching DVD I wouldv'e got a yoga DVD!! But then I cam across this DVD and keep going back to it over and over. The aerobics section, although not very long, does a good job, and all the squats are great for the legs. i saw this film during a fundraising event for independent midwives. i expected an american, schmultsie, overdramatic account of birth in america, but it was real and scarey and inspirational. this film was brilliant. the midwife that ricki followed gave such respectful accounts of what birth means to her, and many other women. had hilarious footage of her own labour and birth, and described beautifully the dilemmas women face when they are pregnant, and how their 'choices' are majorly affected by business and litigation all under the guise ...
