I recently got this DVD for my birthday, and we all had a great time watching it.

This DVD collection (also on blu-ray) contains all of Pixar's short films from The Adventures of Andre and Wally B (1984) to Lifted (2006). I loved the first Little Mermaid film (I even had a fish called flounder and the Arial Barbie Doll!) but I really didn't like this sequal. I felt the plot lacked tension and the characters, great in the first film, have become incredibly annoying, especially Arial who has become some madly obsessed mother who is determined to keep Melody, her daughter, out of the sea whatever it takes after Ursula's sister, Morganna has threatened to harm the little girl.

I have to admit the initial half an hour of Little Chicken captured my full interest. The noticeable Disney's humour and values became evident. The sequences of introducing the story and characters is well delivered. At this point, the movie looked promising and a bright Disney's prospect.

I was given this book when about 5. I read it. And, it has always remained a wonderful tale . To be re-read when modern authors pall. Then, again, I found the film. It is easily forgotten that Robert Newton was a Shakesperian actor and not merely a "pirate", yet he is now the archetype of the "pirate". I now enjoy the film as much as the book. One of the funniest films I have ever seen
I was thrilled to see you can get it on DVD I want to share this with my 3 daughters great film lovers with great senses of humours.
Derek Nimo was brilliant in this film, when I saw this originally many years ago, he was in a british sit com called 'O Brother' he always made/makes me laugh!

This DVD uses a very soft approach encouraging tots to gradually become more and more fimiliar with the potty. It really does hold their attention and has some pretty catchy tunes that you may find yourself singing to. Their are two parts to this DVD which are quite different but equally good. I really didn't like this film. I found it a bit boring and overall a bit too cheesy. It was a disappointment because the book was so good. Usually if I like a film, I watch it more than once but this one I really didn't want to see it again. I would rather read the book again. Maybe this film just wasn't my cup of tea, it may be good for other people.
