For under a fiver (just!) I think this series of Tom and Jerry DVD's are excellent value. The DVD itself is double-sided, which helps to pack all those great cartoons in, and thankfully their are no adverts at the start; you can be playing in under 20 seconds from when you've put the disc in!

This is in no way a Natural History Documentary.

That said it does have it's place, even as a piece of complete fantasy, Nigel Marvin presents these very real, yet extinct animals in a way that is extremely engaging for it's young target audience.

This can only be a good thing to get the next generation involved and interested in the natural world, these animals may be extinct but their DNA lives on all around us.

This film is an insult to the British. A terrible performance by Dustin Hoffman, one of Hollywood's "got lucky" boys. If he wants to ham it up, the local Pantomime would be more appropriate. I can't believe Speilberg did this. A complete waste of money and Bob Hoskins. A lifelong fan of Julia Roberts, I can't see any point in casting her. Surely Roberts and Hoskins must cringe at showings of this crass presentation. As for Dustin Hoffman, bring back Mrs. Robinson, he needs some more luck.

I loved this film as a kid, and am glad that it hasn't lost any of it's magic now that I've grown up a bit! I'd assume this film gets many comparison's with Pixar's 'A Bug's Life', well, don't tell them I told you so, but I actually think Antz has the edge over that film. I love this film, but I was very surprised to find that it was divided into two parts with one on each side of the disc. There is no warning, it just ends half way through. When you turn the disc over the next scene of the film appears part way through a word. It ruined the experience as I was unable to watch the film once I worked out why the disc was double sided.

I really didn't like this film. I found it a bit boring and overall a bit too cheesy. It was a disappointment because the book was so good. Usually if I like a film, I watch it more than once but this one I really didn't want to see it again. I would rather read the book again. Maybe this film just wasn't my cup of tea, it may be good for other people.

I had such low expectations of this film, because everyone had told me it was just a bit naff and silly. Yes! It is naff and silly, but in the best way as physically possible! This is one of greatest children's films ever made, just over taking the Spongebob Squarepants Movie. Other reviewers have said it's 'very good, FOR CHILDREN!' - What Goofy Goobers! - Of coarse!
