Well what can say, you can't beat a better animated movie than the green coloured oger called Shrek. I am 30 year old male and I still can't stop watching it and laughing out loud.

Its a great addition to your collection even with if you have the previous versions, just to have the extras on the second disc is worth the purchase.

I hope that such a version comes out for the third too.

Not only is this a hilarious film, it's clever. Anyone who didn't like it probably didn't get the insider jokes e.g. Elixire Pour Olympiques, commonly known as EPO; the streamlined red chariot driven by Michael Schaumacher; the invention of the air-filled ball that you can kick into a fish net ("That idea will never catch on.") and a very insider joke for Spanish audiences - the princess's headgear was based on that of La Dama de Elche (a famous ancient statue.) I remember watching this film when i was growing up and decided to have a flashback so i went online to buy this little beutie of a film.

I forgot how much i loved the character of Farmer hogget, amazingly played and he makes me feel all warm inside, wish he was my grandad :P

and who could forget about those cheerful little mice as a nice little extra.

I agree this is as good now, if not better than when it was first made. The only downside is that because it was not shot on film the tape stock has not lasted very well. That said it is what is on there that is more important and this is, without doubt one of the best TV series ever made.

If you have never seen it treat yourself. Watch it all in one go. Such larks.

This is the best animation film I've seen i don't mean its better than any other animation film i mean it's funnier, ok [Wallace and Gromit] did make me laugh but this is more up my street.So if you like comic action and comic mild violence i think you'll love this, there's a car scene where the cows are being chased by cops that's why its so great because its full of cool scenes.My friend hates stuff like this he's more a fan of stuff like [hot fuzz] but he loved this film.

Good film. The DVD we rented had poor sound quality and we had to turn the TV up to full volume!but other than that it was the kind of film that we like to watch on the run up to Christmas. Nice story line. Would recommend.
