Finally out on DVD in the UK, this season of Little House on the Prairie is a pleasure to have in my DVD collection! Yes, there are no special features and the picture quality isn't perfect, but I for one believe that the sound quality on this season is far better than in season 1 and 2! All in all I have no regrets in purchasing this item and look forward to rewatching these classic episodes many times.

I remember watching this film when i was growing up and decided to have a flashback so i went online to buy this little beutie of a film.

I forgot how much i loved the character of Farmer hogget, amazingly played and he makes me feel all warm inside, wish he was my grandad :P

and who could forget about those cheerful little mice as a nice little extra.

I bought this movie because it was on the TV. I enjoyed it with Nanny McPhee teaching the kids some manners. Nanny McPhee stands for no foolhardiness and doesn't let the children away with any nonscense. She even tells the cook to make them soup which looks rotten and gives them measle medicine with lumps moving about in it. This film was one I'd been waiting for and loved every minute in the cinema, which I believe was the best cinema experience I've had to date.

It was great to relive it on DVD when my brother bought it to see it for the first time, but now that HD-DVD is more accessible in price I knew it was something I had to do, and I don't regret it AT ALL.

Series three of this heartwarming, amusing and brilliantly acted series was perhaps the best of the lot. Certainly the first three series which were the ones actually based on the books, were superior to the later series set after the war.
There are the usual cute animals, eccentric humans and arguments between the Farnon brothers with James often in the middle. Good film. The DVD we rented had poor sound quality and we had to turn the TV up to full volume!but other than that it was the kind of film that we like to watch on the run up to Christmas. Nice story line. Would recommend.

This is in no way a Natural History Documentary.

That said it does have it's place, even as a piece of complete fantasy, Nigel Marvin presents these very real, yet extinct animals in a way that is extremely engaging for it's young target audience.

The premise for this movie is good. Even the characterisation is not bad, however, the plot seems to have large periods of meandering without purpose. Having built a fantastic set, created a wonderful villain, the crew of heroes are fairly bland and characterless. Also some of the dialogue could be tightened. Not as fun as some other films from the era (Battlestar Galactica, Flash Gordon) but with an interesting premise. Definitely recommended for fans of 2001 - a Space Odyssey, although it achieves nothing of the intensity of that movie.
