It has taken me a long, long time to love The Wiggles. I bought this dvd for our (now 2 year old) daughter after seeing The Wiggles on Tarrant On TV, and deciding that if I had to watch a kids dvd, I might as well get in a few jingoistic laughs. The first 15 times I watched it with my daughter, I smirked through Crunchy Munchy Honeycakes, laughed with great triumph at Hot Potato and hurriedly pressed Fast Forward when the Wiggles Puppets appeared. What can I say? This is just a fantastic learning DVD for kids. I have a 23mth old and he just adores Justin and all the nursery songs. Its brilliantly made, (the song of 1,2,3,4,5 just cracks me up!)
A definete buy for any child!

I have several Wiggles videos and DVDs. I can always rely on the Wiggles to keep my daughter entertained. She sings along, copies the dance moves, and laughs at their antics. Another reviewer made a comment about them having limited musical talent, but coming from a fairly musical family myself, I have to say that they strike me as highly capable and competent musicians who have learned the art of simplicity in songwriting. I introduced my 2 3/4 year-old daughter to a few of the books recently and they quickly became firm favourites. Living in Norway, I'm always keen to introduce her to a bit of British culture and the memory of Arthur Lowe's narration alone was irresistible.

The DVD was no disappointment. To me or her. Yes, there are "quality" issues, by today's standards, but it doesn't seem to be a problem for her. The only problem is which episode to watch. Highly, highly recommended, at least, by this household.

The animation is incredible: the facial expressions, the body movement, the play of light, the attention to detail takes your breath away. Add to this a superb soundtrack, and you realise why it got such good critical reviews.

It is a traditional story, but has been told without so much of that awful syrup and candy so beloved by Disney and, I regret to say, Pixar.
