I bought this album for my kids last year and they liked it so much they only stopped playing it a few months ago! This is a great compilation but what really lets it down for me is the sound quality on the sideboard song which sounds very harsh, all the other tracks sound great. The other reason I didnt give 5 stars is because two great tracks have been left off, Thats What I Like and Strummin, Gutted.

Mainly a collection of vintage rock'n'roll which Ace specialize in but this is a sub genre which had its roots in such as Screammin' Jay Hawkins and John Zacherle-whose Dinner With Drac is on one of the Golden Age series.
The real classic here is Bobby Boris Pickett's Monster Mash and the CD starts off with an airshot of Pickett's speaking voice.It topped the charts in 1962 and finally made it to the U K in 1974.

While I can't confirm the copy protection issue reported elsewhere, I CAN say this is a pretty good summary of his work.

A good question, that.... there is nothing here that hasn't been issued before, either on "The World of the Goons" (which had all the Decca titles together with tracks by Ray Ellington and Max Geldray) and various Peter Sellers and/or Spike Mlligan compilations. this is an excellent album - it had me laughing out loud and i'm still discovering new funny bits as i listen to it again. obviously the elements song is a must for any science teacher, which is why i bought the cd, but there's much more to it than just that song. the only odd thing is the repeated songs on the second half. but which album should i get next?

This is a great collection of parodies. 'white and Nerdy' is a stand out.Weird Al is hilariously funny, while coming up with great parodies.There is even a DVD section with photos, and the whole album in stereo. Great stuff!
