This is an abosolute wonder of a film. I'd even rate it along side the beautiful Grave Of The Firelies and so many other studio ghibli films. Wonderful animation, astonishing voice acting and such a great sotryline, made even more so by the revelation of it being a true story.

A fantastic story and one I'll be watching again and again

Randy Newman's success with Pixar's animated masterpieces has been amazing. And this, his fourth feaure film with the company, does not dissappoint. this is probably the best part of the johto series with some great battles (Ash Vs Gary for example) and with around 33 episodes it'll keep you entertained for a while and the best part is the return of Charizard i mean thats reason enough to watch this box set. any fan of the pokemon series will love this it should be a buy if you are indeed a fan.

Good film score played by great orchestra, but the transfer to this cd release is terrible. Someone has swamped the sound in a load of reverb which makes the orchestra sound distant and indistinct. The percussion is mixed so low and reverby that it almost sounds limp particularly at the beginning, this is not the playing but the mix. Shame.
