Star Wars - Revenge of the Sith - Battle of the Heroes Best Selling > Music > Ages 12+ by: John Williams May 23, 2005 Having recently purchased the soundtrack for Revenge of the Sith, I was disappointed at the range of music provided for the film. While tracks such as Padme's Ruminations and Anakin's Dream are excellent, the action music I found to be one dimensional and scrambled. However the album was well worth the buy for the Battle of the Heroes track. It is by far the best out the lot - the choir bordering on the cliché but retains originality and dimension. The Empire Strikes Back: Special Edition Original Soundtrack [SOUNDTRACK] Best Selling > Music > Ages 12+ from: RCA April 13, 1997 All the main themes in this outstanding score have been quite rightly hailed by many past reviewers. All I can add is, listen to THE ASTEROID FIELD. It is probably the most fantastic action scene accompaniment by any composer in cinema history, and that includes Bernard Herrmann. Williams uses every corner of the orchestra with awe inspiring precision and verve. I cannot champion this fine piece of movie music enough. The rest of the soundtrack ain't too bad either!! |
