I bought this soundtrack just on impulse, and also to get the amount needed for free post and packing. And I have to say, I do not regret it. I have listened to this constantly ever since I got it. I had already got The Lion King cast recording, and it is one of my favourite Disney soundtracks ever. Beauty and the Beast is certainly another one at the top of the pile! It is a completely different style of music to Lion King, but just as good! I definitely recommend it!

If you don't like Phil Collins then this is definitely not the soundtrack for you as he provides all of the vocals but his voice works really well with a score that proves Disney hasn't lost its touch with the music. Most Tarzan fans will instantly recognise 'You'll be in my Heart' and 'Strangers like Me'and in fact from looking at the track listing it might seem like this soundtrack has little more to offer. This music deserved to win an oscar! The different styles and voices make it a wonderful introduction to music for children, even surpassing other Disney soundtracks such as The Lion King! The voices were pure, raw talent and the composers much to be congratulated on a piece of musical art that rivals even Fantasia! A must have for anyone with children, or anyone who is young at heart.

This was back in the day when Disney were great: when the films had great stories to tell, when the characters were heroes and heriones and when the soundtracks had you singing along.
And this soundtrack really does make you sing (even if, like me, you're terrible). I mean, who in the English speaking world doesn't know at least the chorus to Colours Of The Wind?

It's great, completely funny! In the first episode he destroys Mistys bike and I'm sure her anger all gives us a laugh. The first season was the best in my opinion, pokemon's going downhill now ever since they cut Misty out and changed the voices.

Thought this was a lovely idea for a children's CD, with great songs (and slightly 'different' from the norm) from around the world. I was really disappointed in the never-ending introductions and unconstructive 'chatter' before every single song, though, making it completely useless as a bedtime CD or even a nice 'music' CD, since it's all turned into a kind of lesson and once listened to my kids couldn't be bothered listening to it again as it was boring second time around and rather pointless.
