It was a popular xmas present for my son who is 9, and was also popular with his friends. Cars can frequently come off the track though, probably because kids tend to pull the trigger full on! Scalextric Mighty Mini's Set Best Selling > Toys > Scalextric from: Scalextric I found the set pretty durable. How much time the cars spend on track is down to your skill and co-ordination. I think you have to accept that eventually cars will break but they are reasonably durable and the set has had a fair bit of use. I am still on the original cars but one has the top held on with a bit of tape. You can by replacement cars so do not panic. My 4 year old is pretty good with it and we have had a lot of fun. |

My 1st Scalextric Set Best Selling > Toys > Scalextric from: Scalextric When the track and cars are working well my 3 year old boy and 6 year old girl love it. But I have to say that I spend a great deal of time putting the cars back together. One car more than the other seems to come apart a bit too easily and then I have to keep spending time putting it back together. And then you have to get it just right or the cars won't go round the track properly. It comes with crash barriers that don't go on very easily and then come off and seem to hinder the cars. Scalextric Simpsons Set Best Selling > Toys > Scalextric from: Scalextric Christmas day and my boys were chuffed to get this toy, then I set it up and all looked good and the kids loved it! Then, when I unplugged the handsets, the soldered end connectors snapped off and are now rattling about in the unit! Poorly manfactured handsets and a huge disappointment to my boys!
