Creepy Crawly Catcher Best Selling > Toys > Arts and Crafts from: BV Leisure Ltd It doesn't look as naff as it does on these above pictures. But it is straight out of the 60's. It is pretty robust but requires a comical amount of batteries for the limited power it produces. Small spiders just don't weigh enough to be catchable. Biggies fall right into its jaws. It seems to be the most humane spider catcher on amazon as well. The reach perhaps is not enough for the real wusses. Anyway, surely its cheaper and easier just to use your hand or kill the bliter?! |

I can't believe that we 40+ year olds were more dexterous - I remember creating some very satisfying patterns on my own spirograph - so I can only assume that the toy's structure has been changed over the years. I don't know how durable the toy is - it's made of strong stuff, but as Lucy has only played with it for about half an hour, it hasn't been truly put the test. |
