We have an eight month old baby and have just purchased this monitor. We had previously been using our Tommee Tippee Ultimate sensor monitor which has been great too but for the last couple of months the alarm has gone off several times a night where the baby has rolled off the sensor mat.
I was not happy about spending yet more money on another monitor but for peace of mind decided I should. At last a peaceful nights sleep!!

An excellent idea for tummy time, however our baby girl (4 months) is probably too young as the spinning sensation currently frightens her - will keep trying it with her but expect it will be a couple more months before she really gets some quality use and fun out of the spinner - that said she is quite happy using the mat for playtime with the various mirrors and attached activities.

I like Vtech toys. They are great for learning providing they don't stop working, which I have found that some do easily - I know, I bought a glut of them when my son was a little baby. My 4 year old daughter really enjoys this software cartridge and has spent many happy hours playing independently on it. She particularly enjoys singing along to the songs (as do her older brothers of 8 and 10!).
The educational content is good but perhaps not quite as strong as some of the other available software cartridges. My eldest son was 2 when his Godmother bought him Thomas. He literally shook with excitement and used it constantly for months. Two younger sisters learnt to walk with thomas and use the box under the seat to store their precious cuddly toys. My youngest will be handed the torch in a few months and I expect a similar reaction to a toy that has stood the test of time.

I bought this game for my son who was very reluctant to do any maths with me.It is a fun way of learning, and he gained alot of confidence. I now use this game in my role as SEN teaching asssistant, you can group the cards into +, - and X and focus on that area. It can be used with other teaching aids to speed up the sums, and help gain confidence. A game for two can take 15 to 20 minutes.
