I gave this book to a niece and she absolutely loved it. Danica makes math fun, accessible and memorable. Her favorite parts are the testimonials where young women show that it is okay to be successful. This women such as Martha Tellez and Crystal McKellar are now her roles models. This book is highly recommended for all girls approaching pre-algebra.

I think I'm in love with Danica McKellar.

As I type, my 13 year old is not only reading a book (something she is loathe to do), but it is a MATH book and she's giggling and saying "OH! Well, that makes sense!"

I used this book for my tenth grade geometry class. At first glance it seems to have helpful examples and explanations, but the author actually only explains a few of the postulates and theorems. This was the second potty book we bought-the first was "The Potty Book for Boys" which is cute and really enjoyable for our son. This book is very small. That makes it nice to carry around, but hard to see the little drawings on the pages. Our 15 month old daughter doesn't understand all the crazy cars (pickle car, toothpaste car, etc.), we have a good time reading it occasionally. If you're interested in a Richard Scary book, I would recommend a larger book with more going on on each page. My nephew has a huge one that he loves to stare at.

Very round, very cute, very... childlike, for lack of a better word.

And I always appreciate the effort in making a multiracial cast of kids, not everybody does that.

Would be nice if the flaps were a little stronger, though. Unfortunately, they *will* rip off, so this book has to be supervised only :(
