This magazine is so full of fun, it's name is true! If it doesn't make you want to sit down & be creative and play with your children, there is something wrong with you. I think it brings out the kid in everyone. I recommend it highly!

I have been a subscriber to Texas Monthly for close to 20 years. With that longevity, one might think this would be a 5-star review; however, that is not the case. As a person who loves Texas, I subscribe to virtually all magazines with the word "Texas" in their name. this magazine has much going for it but almost, without fail, falls far short. The articles, mostly, have the merits to be decent read and something you can find informative, unfortunately --either the editors edit out the content or the writers only write fluff-- the articles are filled with nothing of substance. For instance, in an article several years ago about the need to move to nuclear power, the author tries to disprove all other forms of power in one 6 sentence paragraph. Was once an excellent, reliable mag, with all sorts of helpful information on different subjects. Now, it's mostly adverts with a few pages of info and recipes here and there, and half of it seems to be geared toward housewives who are intent upon watching every calorie. I guess if you're ocd about your weight and you're looking for another way to beat yourself up, this is for you.

I have to admit, I signed up because of the great deal. The Oprah magazine has been a great investment. It is real stuff to apply to every day situations. I'm greatly impressed with all facets of the magazine. From products, to clothing trends, to valuable information on staying healthy.
