I received one of these a few days ago and my verdict is that I am likely to use it when reading books at night.

Purchased this product online to provide surge protection for a new Sansung LN32A550 1080P HDTV. When I hooked up the coaxial cable coming from our outdoor antenna, the unit grossly distorted the image coming from the local NBC HD-DTV channel. It also interfered with the local Fox station's DTV signal.

I'd like to find a good surge protector that doesn't have this

Got this little heater to supplement our central heating, along with another ceramic heater and a water filled radiator. The radiator will heat a large area, but this little guy makes you feel warm instantly--much better, in my opinion. Not silent, but not crazy loud--about as loud as a fan. I've used it to great effect in my high ceilinged living room, and very efficiently in my low ceilinged tv room. I'm thinking of another one for the bathroom.

Seems like a great product - relatively inexpensive, powerful, lighter than gas models, can blow or vac, mulches when in vac mode, environment friendly etc.

Not so great in practice for the following reasons:
* Can blow at modest speed fairly quietly but loud whine at full speed --> need hearing protection
* Very loud in vacuum mode, mostly leaves whacking through machine --> need hearing protection

This is an excellent, incredible, fantastic product for keeping my girl's nails trimmed nicely. one of them was so afraid of the clippers, she would scream..not bark..actually scream and we would have to holder her down.
